WORKTOOL NOTES

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026.

Worktool Notes processes image, PDF and text contents in your browser. Choosing a file, pasting an image or running a tool does not upload that content to our server or a conversion API.

Website requests

Your browser downloads the site, processing libraries and sample files from our host. Normal requests expose technical information such as IP address, browser information, request time and requested URL to the hosting provider. Browser processing does not make website hosting or network requests disappear.

No new advertising or analytics integration is enabled by this tools release. This notice will be updated before a change in the site's data handling. Administrative sign-in uses a session cookie; visitors do not need an account to use the tools.

Active files and passwords

Selected files, pasted text and any PDF password entered into a tool are held in the page's memory for processing. Passwords are not included in saved recipes, local handoffs or downloads. Clear the selected files or close the tab when finished. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them.

Local handoffs

Choosing a next-step tool explicitly saves the result files temporarily in IndexedDB on this browser. The receiving tool removes the handoff when it opens it. A handoff expires after 15 minutes; expired records are cleaned when another handoff is saved. You can remove all handoffs with Clear local handoffs. Browser settings can also clear site data. We do not upload or synchronise this storage.

Saved preferences

Favorites and image recipes are stored in LocalStorage on this browser. Recipes contain processing settings and a name you choose. They do not contain selected files or passwords. Do not put private information in a recipe name. Clearing site data removes saved settings.

Clipboard

Pasting an image is a user action. Copy image requests permission through your browser after you select that button. Clipboard support varies. Download is available if copying fails.

Sensitive documents and metadata

Local processing reduces server-upload exposure but does not certify your device, browser or files as secure. Re-encoding an image removes many supported metadata fields, but visible text, faces, location clues and watermarks may remain. An empty metadata report does not prove anonymity. Our metadata tool does not remove all forms of provenance or identify every AI-generated image.

Contact

Use the Contact page for a privacy question. Email is handled by your email provider and our mailbox provider. Do not send identity documents, passwords or private files.
