About Worktool Notes

Worktool Notes is an independent collection of file, image, PDF and text tools. It helps people prepare files for a website, document, email or everyday work without installing a separate desktop app.

What the tools do

Convert image formats, resize images, reduce file size, create a PDF from pictures, export PDF pages as images, arrange ordinary PDF documents, and compare text or CSV rows and cells. An image metadata tool shows supported fields and produces a re-encoded copy. Each tool explains its supported formats and limitations.

Local processing

The engines run in your browser, using Canvas for image pixels and locally loaded JavaScript libraries for PDFs, text and format decoding. Some PDF codecs use WebAssembly; the HEIC compatibility decoder uses its CSP-compatible asm.js build. File contents are not uploaded to our application or a third-party conversion API. Your device supplies the processing power and memory. Large files, unusual encodings and browser support can limit what works.

A temporary handoff between tools uses IndexedDB on this browser. It is deleted when opened, expires after 15 minutes, and is cleaned on a later handoff. You can clear local handoffs from any tool. Files are not synchronised between devices. Saved recipes contain settings, not images, documents or passwords.

Samples and verification

Sample files are original Worktool Notes fixtures. A published sample check states what was tested and what happened. Small examples do not establish compatibility with every source file. Keep the original and inspect the downloaded result before submitting or replacing important work.
