Worktool Notes

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026.

Worktool Notes is an independent software-help publication at worktoolnotes.com. This notice explains how the site operator handles information when you read, search, or contact us. For privacy questions, use the email address on our Contact page.

Reading, hosting, and security

You do not need an account to read the guides. Hostinger hosts this website and its database. Delivering a page involves processing connection information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time. Hosting and security systems may record this information to operate the service, investigate errors, and prevent abuse.

We do not use a separate visitor analytics script. Hosting records are handled through Hostinger; the site application does not maintain a separate visitor-profile database. See Hostinger’s privacy policy for its role and data practices. Provider systems and processing locations may differ from your country.

Your search terms appear in the request URL so the site can find published guides. The application does not maintain a search-history database, but the URL may remain in browser history and hosting logs. Do not put passwords or confidential project information in a search.

Advertising and Google services

Advertising is currently disabled. Reader pages do not load AdSense advertising code or Google Analytics, and the site does not set advertising cookies. The AdSense account-identification meta tag and ads.txt file identify the site’s publisher; they do not display ads or load an advertising script.

Google Search Console is connected to help the operator understand how the site appears in Google Search. It does not add a visitor-tracking script to these pages. We will update this notice and implement the required consent controls before enabling advertising or additional analytics. No consent-management platform is active at this time.

Email inquiries

The Contact page opens your own email application. This site does not submit a form or store messages in its database. If you send an email, the operator receives your address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use them to respond, investigate a correction, or handle a privacy request, not for a mailing list.

The receiving mailbox uses Gmail. Your provider and Google process the message as part of delivering and storing email; see Google’s privacy policy. Please avoid sending passwords, billing details, or private project files. We retain correspondence as needed to handle the inquiry and any related security or legal obligations. You may ask us to delete correspondence that is no longer needed.

Administrator access

Signing in to the editorial workspace sets an essential, secure, HTTP-only session cookie. Sessions expire after eight hours and are revoked on sign-out. These cookies protect administrator access; readers do not need to sign in. Passwords are verified with a salted hash, and login-attempt counters help limit repeated attempts. Editorial content, revision history, and uploaded images are stored in the site database. Private drafts and review notes are restricted to the administrator.

Your choices and requests

You can read the site without sending an email or creating an account. Contact the operator to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information you have provided. The response depends on what information we hold and the rights applicable to your request. We may need enough information to confirm that the request concerns you. Do not send identity documents unless a necessary, appropriate verification method has been agreed.

We do not sell inquiry information or share it for targeted advertising. External links take you to services with their own privacy practices. Changes to this site’s data handling will be reflected in this notice.
